William Caan Obituary

Caan, William
92, passed away in his residence at Saguaro Ranch Assisted Living in Oro Valley AZ on March 22, 2015. Bill was born in Milwaukee, WI, May 6, 1922 to Frank Caan & Josephine Kroenig. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School and then served honorably in the Army 1942-1946. Bill married Helen J. Wetzel in September 1948. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Helen & Bill moved west to CA, then AZ where they lived in Scottsdale/Mesa for the next 60+ years. Bill worked for Garrett AiResearch Mfg. Co. for 35+ years where he developed several patents. He lived a full life & was a devoted husband and father. Bill became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1964 and brought many blessings to his family by living the gospel. He enjoyed many hobbies: dancing, photography, archery, fly fishing, building & racing cars and belonged to the Sports Car Club of America. He has been an avid golfer through his life & hit 5 "holes in one". Bill and Helen enjoyed retirement at Palmas del Sol in Mesa AZ in the winter & Pinetop AZ in the summer near Pinetop Lakes Golf Club. Bill will be missed by many. Bill is survived by 2 daughters: Lori Kelsey (husband Steven) and Tana Morgan (husband Dale), 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
