Benito Nunez Obituary
Benito "Junior" Nunez, Jr., 48, formerly of Flagstaff, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014, in Phoenix, AZ, following a chronic illness. He was born October 23, 1965, in Flagstaff, AZ, to Benito and Maria Nunez. Benito who was the youngest of eight children, has left the family to be with his late father, who he missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving mother, Maria Nunez, two sons who held a very special place in his heart; Anthony and Jeffery, two grandchildren and his companion of five years, Taliba Salahuddin. He is also survived by his brother and six sisters: Carmen (Rick) Morris, Sofia Nunez, Jose (Carmen) Nunez, Mary (Steve) Hernandez, Clara (Royce) Kelly, Rose (Robert) Bryan, and Paula (Tony) Jaramillo; 18 nieces and nephews and numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Benito Nunez, Sr.
Services will be held today, September 27, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 8116 W. Varney Rd, Peoria, Arizona. A gathering for friends and family will follow; food and refreshments will be provided.
