Brent Moseng Obituary

Brent Jerome Moseng, a beloved father, devoted husband, skilled chiropractor, and cherished friend, entered the loving arms of Jesus Christ on October 22, 2025, at the age of 56. Brent was a beacon of strength and kindness, deeply loved by his wife Deja and three daughters Bella, Macie, and Harleigh, who brought immense joy to his life and were the pride of his heart.
Born and raised in the small town of Clarkfield, MN, Brent grew up working on the family farm, ice fishing, playing basketball, baseball, and football, and spending time with his many friends. Along with sports, he played trombone and enjoyed singing in school musicals at Clarkfield High, where he was honored to have been named Homecoming King. After graduating in 1987, Brent played two years of basketball at Willmar Community College before pursuing his calling at Northwestern College of Chiropractic and dedicating his life to helping others find relief and wellness through chiropractic care. He operated his flourishing practice, Moseng Chiropractic, for almost three decades in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he was known not only for his expertise but especially for his genuine compassion and ability to connect with everyone who walked through his doors. His laughter and warmth could brighten any room, leaving a positive impact on both patients and colleagues.
In 2002, Brent married the love of his life, Deja (Deal), in Tucson, AZ. Brent and Deja built a beautiful life together, rooted in faith, loyalty, and partnership. Their love for each other was evident in everything they did, a quiet strength and joy that blessed their family and friends. They enjoyed nearly 23 years of marriage and packed a lifetime of love and family memories into that time.
As a father, Brent embraced his role wholeheartedly. He nurtured his daughters with love while imparting values of resilience, kindness, and hard work. He could always be found helping with school projects, singing bedtime songs, or cheering, "Put 'em away!" from the sidelines at their volleyball games. He played an essential part in their lives, always encouraging them to dream big, pursue their passions, and love each other.
In addition to his commitment to his family and career, Brent was an avid sports enthusiast, rarely missing a Vikings football game or University of Arizona basketball game. He was a fierce competitor in fantasy football leagues and had fun being the long-standing commissioner during March Madness. He was very proud to be part of the Flagstaff community, and his generosity knew no bounds with local schools, churches, community groups, and NAU athletics. Brent was always up for a good practical joke or a night on the town with friends and family, and he was known for his signature big, heartfelt hugs. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed golfing, softball league, boating at Lake Powell, and playing in the backyard with his kids. Brent felt deep gratitude for his country and took great pride in being an American. He cherished his many trips back to visit Minnesota, and also loved exploring new places around the world with his family, instilling in them a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around them.
Brent was very private about his 18-month battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He fought courageously, noting his wife and daughters as his inspiration. He held tightly to his faith, and in true Brent fashion, he remained positive and light-hearted until the very end. He knew that he would be victorious, and we know that he was.
Brent is survived by his wife, Deja and daughters, Bella, Macie and Harleigh, who will carry his legacy of love and strength with them always; brothers, Dr. Brad (Deb) and Dr. Bruce; sister, Brenda (Frank) Vanderveur; nieces, Jami Moseng, Carli Moseng, Brook (Josh) Herzog, Laura (Justin) Paskey, Ashley Vanderveur, Kayla Vanderveur; father-in-law, Dr. Sheldon Deal; and countless other family members, friends and colleagues who will forever remember his vibrant spirit. Brent was welcomed into Heaven by many friends and family, including his loving parents, Harlan and Carol Moseng, and doting mother-in-law, Cindy Deal.
A celebration of Brent's life will be held on November 7, 2025, at Bridge Church at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to be saved in a future wedding fund for Bella, Macie, and Harleigh. https://everloved.com/life-of/brent-moseng/donate
Though he may no longer be with us physically, Brent's love, laughter, and indomitable spirit will echo in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. He may have left this world, but he will never be forgotten. It is impossible to forget someone who gave us so much to remember.

I started going to Dr. Moseng when he first came to flagstaff and stayed as a patient for all these years. His skill, compassion, and kindness were evident from our first visit. Always fixed my issue, always gave good advice, always had a kind word . Always the best. Loved talking about his family . My heartfelt condolences to his family. I will miss him.
