Martha Lou Mulnix, 91, of Flagstaff, passed away October 9, 2013. She was born August 21, 1922 in McNary, LA and moved to Arizona in 1924. She attended Arizona State Teachers College in Flagstaff, where she was a charter member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Mulnix was a devout hiker and nature lover. She had a great love of people. Many know her from her work with the Flagstaff Housing Authority, where she served for years, until her retirement.
Mrs. Mulnix was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie K. and Joseph C. Pyland, her first husband William Adams and her second husband Melvin E. "Bucky" Mulnix. She is survived by her three children Bill Adams, Kathy Mulnix, and Joe Mulnix; three grandchildren: John, Andrea, and Scottie; and two great grandchildren: Sean and Penelope. She especially loved being a grandmother and a great grandmother.
A service of remembrance will take place Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona. Condolences may be left for the family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com.
