Michael Dugan Obituary
A life-long resident of Arizona, Michael worked as a real estate agent for more than 30 years. He also worked as a snow plow driver for the city of Flagstaff and as part of the security team at the Orpheum Theater.
In his free time, Michael loved sports. He coached his sons in Little League. He played softball for decades with the Lounge Lizards and the Highlanders. He watched football religiously, and his favorite NFL team was the Denver Broncos.
Michael will be remembered as someone who expressed love sincerely. Those around him never doubted that he meant it when he said, "I love you." He was passionate about animals of all types. He rescued dogs and cats and welcomed them all into his home with an open heart.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jo Dugan (née Vanderpool) and Donald Wallace Dugan, as well as by his brothers, Donald Joseph (D.J.) and David (Davey). He is survived by his sons, Jim and Kevin Dugan, his sister, Patricia Nelson, and a supportive and loving extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 21st, at 3 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Coconino Humane Association or High Country Humane in Flagstaff.

Michael was always a smiling face at the office and was easy to talk to about anything. He and his pup Lily, greeted me every weekend when I went in he was working hard as he always did. He showed up to every event and connected with us at the office every chance he had! What a guy, and what a surprise to not see him around. Sending thoughts and prayers.

In the early 80's Mike would arrive on various heavy equipment ie. Steam roller, etc., to eat lunch at Lone Star BBQ. Became one of my first and longest lasting friend in Flagstaff.

He was always a very loving, kind, and considerate cousin! I have always loved my Flagstaff cousins and Michael will be very missed! My heart goes out to Patricia and her family, Jimmy and Kevin. Love you all! RIP cuz!

Jim, I'm SO sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I recognized the last name but couldn't quite place him until I saw that he had two kids, you being one of them. When we did My Fair Lady, I had just lost my dad the November before....he, too, was 67. It's been 22 years since he passed. He's never missed. All I can offer is that life changes with the death of someone we love, especially a parent. They will always be in your heart.
