Opal Hurst Parker, 92, passed away peacefully January 13, 2021, Flagstaff, Arizona. Mom was born August 14, 1928, in Mohave, California to Ocie Foss Hurst and Fae Elenor Hurst. Mom married the love of her life, Jack Parker, October 19, 1947. Mom loved and lived for her family and friends. She was an avid reader, a skilled seamstress and loved quilting. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Survivors include Children: Ronald Parker, Kanab, Utah (Bonnie), Robert Parker Flagstaff, Arizona (Janet), Gayle Hammons St. George, Utah (Glen), Cheryl Canter Mesa, Arizona (Doug). Sandi Cummard, Queen Creek, Arizona (Sonny). Son-in-Law Wayne Knape, Brother, Dale Johnson Fredonia, Arizona, (Teressia). She was preceded in death by her Husband, Jack Parker, Children: Marie Parker and Evelyn Ann Knape. Brother Charley Hurst and Sister Gene Porter. Her life was blessed with 20 Grandchildren, 76 Great Grandchildren and 17 Great-Great Grandchildren. Due to the current health conditions, Graveside services will be January 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fredonia Cemetery. Grave Dedication will be given by Sonny Cummard. We will dearly miss Opal. She was much loved and always had a smile for everyone. She had a strong testimony of the gospel that helped strengthen others. She was truly an elect lady.
