Devastated is an understatement. The hole and void left with Rush passing is beyond explanation and I can't imagine it getting better. He was one of a kind and simply the best. We loved this man! Can remember the first time we heard his radio show. Our comments (in Stereo) “who is this guy”! He was saying everything we were thinking and truly believed in and still do! I miss Rush so much. This has been a feeling of loss I never imagined I could feel for someone I’ve never met. Every week day for 3 hours since he passed I have ended up in tears. I feel genuine grief as if I lost a mentor and an Institution. I’m 37 and an ex Democrat, Rush changed my heart 7 years ago and now I’m a poster boy for conservative values. Rush changed lives. When I heard Kathryn on the radio on Monday morning, I knew Rush was sitting at the right hand God. My heart was so full of sorrow and I couldn't keep the tears back. Rush was part of our family. He was the best and most informative teacher one could have. I can tell you where and when the first time I heard him. It was a spoof on the tree huggers and the chain saws were going. He had me from that moment on. I started every day with Rush and I thanked God also for giving me another day. Rush Limbaugh, a true Patriot, leaves a chasm of loss for millions of us in the US and even the world. Our family had listened to him since his days in Sacramento...my parents and all my siblings...and we will sorely miss his daily broadcast, especially in the political seasons when his unique knowledge, instincts, and talent would guide us thru those seasons. Outside of those seasons, his enthusiasm for the United States, his knowledge of history, his unique delivery, kept us all glued to the radio every weekday. He was often the subject of many family conversations...and we always enjoyed the shows with great interest and laughter. Our days were better, the sun shone brighter, after every show. Rush will be sorely missed in our family. Our hearts and love go out to Katherine and all of Rush's family as your loss must be so unbearable. We thank God today for the life of Rush Limbaugh and all he did for us.

After the News of your passing my wife sent me a text that said "I'm sorry your friend died" - even though I had never met you I considered you a friend. I was sitting in my semi truck while making a delivery. Barack Obama was president 2009, and I didn't like what he was doing. I turned my radio and heard this voice and wondered who was this man make complete sense to me and when I heard that it was Rush, I understood. After my son, Jack, died, I heard a lesson on grief that taught that I should not think, "If only Jack hadn't gone to Iraq." God gave Jack a certain number of days and hours of life, and Jack helped so many Soldiers, friends and people, always giving of his talents and love to them. He lived exactly the number of days he had been given, and he knew that no matter where on Earth he resided, he would have no more than what God had given him. Ten years after his death in 2011, he still gets greetings and letters on his Facebook page, so I have never closed it. His friends need to send messages to him.
Your beloved Rush gave of himself every day to his devoted audiences, and he knew we all loved him and cherished our times listening to him. God shared him with us for only the correct number of days and hours. Now, Rush is "repurposed" in his Heavenly home. We praise God for loaning him to us, and for giving him Kathryn to love.

I am a true definition of a Rush baby. Rush and my father are my two most influential men in my life. I am a 22 year career firefighter and hard to make me break down but I couldn't help but cry the day I found out that Rush had cancer and again the day his wonder wife came in the radio and said he was gone.
