Sharman C. Pearce
Sharman C. Pearce - better known as Shar, was called home to rest on February 24, 2023.
She is survived by her Mother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Cousins, her Pug Oliver and oh so many friends.
After three generations born and raised, Shar attended Flag High in the 80s, figure skated through the years at Jay Lively and went on to a seventeen year career at Flagstaff Eye Care. She also proudly spent time on the State Board of Optometry.
She had a great compassion for animals. No animal in need, that ever crossed her path, was left behind. And she always had a special place in heart for pugs.
Her faith led her to First Missionary Baptist Church.
The joy she found in music consoled her soul in this wild world. And when she saw the cracks in that world she flooded them with the light that no one could take away from her.
May she rest easy, as heavens angels carry her away.
Shar's Homegoing will be held this Saturday, March 11th at 1 :00 pm at the First Missionary Baptist Church at the corner of Butler and Elden St.
For more details contact Elyse at 928.607.9716.
A celebration of life will be held on May 12th (Shar's birthday) at a venue to be determined.

Maureen and Jennifer Burke were so shocked and saddened to hear that our dear childhood friend passed so unexpectedly. By strange coincidence, we had just been talking about her and a river rafting trip down the Colorado that she had taken with our family. During those talks we both recalled how much we loved Sharman when we were all kids.
We have so many vivid memories from our time together that began in Pine Del. We were a close trio, exploring and playing in the forest all day long. In the summer, we liked to get up before the sun came up and go on long hikes. We all had fanciful imaginations, and named the trees and rocks and different places we "discovered" on our expeditions.
When we were about 10 or 11, we had become upset when we saw the ponderosas being cut down for what was to become Greentree Village. It was Sharman's idea that we should try to stop this somehow. So the next day, led by our fearless leader, we marched into Flagstaff City Hall where, with her chin held high, Shar announced that we would like to speak to the mayor. We thought she was so brave!
Even though we didn't get to see the mayor that day (they sent someone else to talk to us, surprisingly enough), we both felt then, and still do today, that Sharman had a special spark that was irresistable.
We are grateful for having known her and very sad that she has passed. Our sincere condolences to her Mom Celester, sister Shay, and daughter Elyse.

I´m deeply saddened to hear that my childhood best friend Sharman is passed. Although we did not stay connected as adults, I have such vivid and fond memories spending time with her and family in Flagstaff. I will love her forever and know she is flying high with the other angels, and caring for loved ones and pets who have passed prior. Until we meet again, Sharman, I hold you dearly in my thoughts. Love, Laura Long Kolb.

Shar was an ethereal light in this chaotic world. She was kind, gentle, beautiful inside and out, indeed, an Angel. May she find true peace with our Heavenly Father. Suzanne
