Stefan Geissler Obituary
Stefan Pascal Geissler
April 2, 1988 - February 16, 2025
Stefan Geissler came into this world unexpectedly early as a premature baby and he left this world far too early, in the prime of his life. Outwardly happy and easy going, he was well loved by everyone who knew him. Stefan was devoted to his family and his long term partner Lori Natseway and made certain to take time for his young nephews and beloved god-daughter Ivy. Stefan was responsible and dedicated to honest work, taking charge of kitchens in restaurants and bars and caterers throughout Flagstaff. He managed the kitchen at Flagstaff Brewing Company, where he worked for 10 years directly after leaving high school, and most recently worked for Artisan's Kitchen.
Stefan led a rich and fulfilling life for the short time he was with us. He loved animals, especially huskies, saltwater fish and donkeys. He also loved music and played cello as a child but later became a talented guitarist. He enjoyed attending performances of his favorite musicians, including any notable ska bands that were playing nearby. He was a skilled skateboarder when he was young, known for showing off scary stunts in skate parks around Arizona and Mexico and for bouncing ollies off the marble fountains in piazzas in Italy until he was chased away by the local carabinieri. He turned to snowboarding as an adult, naturally falling in with those particular riders who partied on the lift ride up and then disappeared into the woods to the secret spots that are only known to locals. Stefan had a serious side as well; he was passionate about social issues, equality and justice, and would go to great lengths to protect and assist anyone in his circle who needed help.
Stefan is survived by his faithful partner of 15 years, Lori Natseway; devoted sister, Katya Carrauthers; brothers, Max and Rudi Geissler; and parents, Nadine and Paul Geissler. We are grateful for the time we had together with him! A Celebration of Life will be held in his memory from 2 to 6 p.m. on April 2, 2025 at Serendipity, 2640 W Kiltie Lane, Flagstaff, AZ.
