William Carl (Bill) Bruchman (1949- 2018) was a man of determination and accomplishment. Born in Winslow, Arizona, his family was synonymous with Bruchman's Trading Post.
Bill attended NAU graduating with majors in both Psychology and Mechanical Engineering.
He was hired at W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc and was instrumental in the founding and growth of Gore's Medical Products Division for the next 40 years. Eventually accumulating nearly 50 patents, Bill's commitment to knowing the basic science, and to absolute integrity in product development and in business stamped Gore's reputation in the medical technology.
Bill played as hard as he worked. He loved the water and had great times with family and friends on Lake Powell and later enjoyed living near the river in Camp Verde. He kayaked the rivers of the Southwest, including the Grand Canyon, with the same determination and accomplishment he brought to every endeavor.
Bill is survived by his son Richard Max Bruchman, his grandson Connor David Bruchman, sisters Donna Harris and Linda McHood, and a circle of friends stunned and saddened by his untimely death.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on July 14, 2018 at Little America from 3-7 PM.
