Anthony Ramirez Obituary

Anthony Guy Ramirez September 29, 1995 - April 3, 2010 It was a pleasure to share our lives with Anthony. He will always be remembered as our brave hero. He always made our day with the great amount of love he shared with each one of us. Anthony will be remembered as the strongest and bravest person we've ever known after battling Leukemia over 4 years. He is now in the comfort of our loving Father and Lord Jesus Christ. He is survived by his mother, Christina Ramirez; father, Antonio Ramirez; sisters, Nicole and Mandie Ramirez; godparents, Gabriel and Marie Rodriguez; grandparents, Arthur and Jessie Rodriguez, Jose and Maria Ramirez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, from 4-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Church service will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, April 9, at St. Philip's the Apostle. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. www.bakersfield.com/obits

WE LOVE YOU

May 3, 2010

Anthony I will always remember you! From when you were a little boy, to the very brave young man you grew into. I am so lucky to have known you! I will keep your love and bravory close to my heart always. May you rest in peace. One day we will meet again at the gates of HEAVEN.

To Christina Ramirez: I think you are an amazing mother and woman. You endured so much, yet still has that beautiful smile of yours. I know Anthony recieved his strength from the love and devotion of a mother like you! I will continue to pray for you. I know you felt lucky to have Anthony as a son....But I also know he felt he was lucky because he had you as a mother. My thoughts and prayer are always with you. We love you so much!

Anthony. You were truly our angel on earth, and now in heaven. I am so proud to say you were my nephew and godson. Your strength during your battle with Leukemia is unmeasurable. You rarely complained, caring more about the feelings of your family and friends than your own. You will be greatly missed by everyone who knew you. I think of you every day and I will never forget your smile. The song you sent us after you left, the Broken Road, sums up your passing the best, "..... you understand. It's all part of a Grander Plan that is coming true." I know with all my heart and soul that you will be there to greet me when I come home.

Christina,

I am so proud of you. You went through so much. You were there for Anthony every step of the way. I know that Anthony’s strength came from you. He is smiling down from heaven, gleaming with pride that you were his Mother. God Bless you for being the person you are.

Anthony, In my heart you'll always be. My comfort comes from Heaven above, knowing that you are in Peace with our Loving Father and Lord Jesus Christ. The day will come when we reunite again, and it will be the happiest day for me. I'll never forget the last thing you said to me on that last day. The words I longed to hear were those so special to me. I love you too, you said when I told you that I love you. My little boy, and hero many hugs and kisses are still reserved for you. Your Nina will always keep you close in her heart, and that's were our precious memories will be.

Anthony's Family,
I met Anthony's mother once in the grocery store. My son also has leukemia. I just wanted to say that my prayers are with you all and I will be thinking of you all tomorrow and I wish I could be there for you, but I have to take Ian to UCLA for his chemo. Lots of hugs to you all.

There are so many memories of anthony growing up with the kids on the block. I am so sorry and grieve for all of the family. May the lord be with you all.

Sincerly,
Trevor,Loretta,Carrie,Jaime,Cynthia,and Junior

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun light on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain,
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds, in circling flight,
I am the soft star, that shines at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
