BEN BOLLES

April 5, 1933 May 17, 2023

Pismo Beach Born April 5, 1933 in Duncan, OK, dad lived a phenomenal 90 years. He passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023.

A devout Christian, he was ready to go meet the Lord and be reunited with the love of his life and wife of 48 years, Phyllis Barksdale Bolles who passed before him in 2008.

Dad was a longtime resident of Bakersfield, CA working alongside his son Steve at Bolles Nursery for years, before moving to Pismo Beach in 1998. He raved about Pismo having the most perfect weather and took advantage of this on daily long walks through town often times running into friends from Bakersfield.

Survived by his children Steve Bolles, Keith Bolles and Jennifer Burk, and their families, including numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pops to us all, he will be missed most for his strong love of his family, witty sense of humor and silly stories about Sam you never knew if he was serious or pulling your leg. We will also greatly miss his sweet smile, chuckles and the twinkle in his blue eyes. He will be forever in our hearts.

Ben was laid to rest beside Phyllis at Greenlawn SW in Bakersfield on May 30, 2023.
