Betty Adams Obituary

BETTY LORRAINE ADAMS

November 10, 1931 – December 25, 2024

Betty, 93, passed away in Pacifica Assisted Living in Bakersfield, CA on December 25th 2024. Betty was born in Shafter, CA on November 10th, 1931 to Jim and Alitha Taylor. She graduated from Shafter High School.

Betty married Bill Adams in March 1952. They were married 54 years till Bill's passing in 2006.

They had a cabin in Sequoia Crest where the family shared a lot of good memories. They enjoyed spending time with their large family. They also traveled to 25 countries with their close friends Don and Teresa.

Mom was a very social lady, stayed in touch with girlfriends from High School for many years. Having lunch once a month with those close friends. They were called the Lunch Bunch.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking special dishes for her family, playing cards and beating nearly everyone she played Chinese Checkers with, Mom loved all her cats and her dog Bella so very much.

Mom made some wonderful friends in Brighton Park where she lived for the last 16 years.

She leaves behind her children, Marsha Guinn (John), Pamela Taylor, Scott Adams (Suzanne), Tim Adams (Val). 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, a sister and a brother, also a sister-in-law.

A Celebration of Life will be in May with family and friends.
