Billy Ray Harrison

Billy Ray Harrison was born on November 6, 1940 to Elijah and Edna Harrison in Fresno, California. He passed on August 14, 2014 at the age of 73 with his wife, Wanda and granddaughter Breanna by his side. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Jones and sister, Darlene Dugger. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Harrison of Wofford Heights; sons, Sean Harrison and wife Kim of Bakersfield and Shane Harrison and wife Serena of Bakersfield; daughter, Shannon Ong of Genoa, NV; step-sons Greggory Floyd and wife Amy of Bakersfield and Steve Floyd and wife Charlotte of Taft. His grandchildren are named as Matthew Murphy, Mallory Ong, Breanna, Ryleigh and Isabella Harrison, Tyler and Grace Harrison, Mackenzie and Mason Floyd and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters, Ester Lukins and Vida Stieger of Bakersfield and brother, Edward Pierce of Taft.
Bill's passion and love in his life was coaching diving at Taft Union High School, which he did for many years. A new pool was built at TUHS and a portion was dedicated in his name. Bill viewed all of his divers as winners. He worked all of his life in the oilfield and retired from Berry Petroleum in 2003.
He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by family, friends and his fur-babies Molly, Mady and Millie.
