Carmela Bard-Turner Obituary

Carmela Crockett Bard-Turner, 45, was born to Davy and Elizabeth Crockett on September 4, 1962 in Los Angeles, CA. She passed on to glory in Las Vegas, NV on November 24, 2007. A visitation /viewing will be held Wednesday, November 28th, in the Chapel of Beloved Care Funeral Services, 115 18th St., Bakersfield, CA, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a meditation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Precious little Carmela was blessed with the gift of song, wit and an uncanny ability to make everyone who met her, love her and feel loved immediately. Carmela was a truly gifted singer and entertainer. Carmela will be missed by her many friends and family. She was a happy person and would not want anyone to be sad. She leaves to celebrate her home going her husband, Darryl Turner; six children, Shavon, Michael, Jermaine, Justin, Darryl, Jr., and Andre; mother, Elizabeth Crockett; mother and father-in-law, Edward (Pap Pap) and Shirley Turner; four sisters, Sharon Holt, Karen Blagmon, Elaine Johnson, Donna Kozell; one brother Leonard; and five grandchildren. Funeral services for Carmela will be held on Thursday, November 29th, at 11:00 a.m., at Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Faith Church, 3318 Horne St. Elder Tommie Wofford to officiate with interment immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
