DANIEL JOSEPH ARIAS

June 28, 1970 - May 30, 2021

Daniel Joseph Arias (Dj), 50, was brought into this world by Ralph and Sylvia Arias on June 28th, 1970 and peacefully passed away May 30th, 2021 with his beautiful daughter Sophia Arias by his side.

Daniel was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. He graduated from Highland High School in 1988, then went on to continue his education at Bakersfield College then CSUB. Daniel spent most of his adult life in the culinary industry; however, his favorite was making his speciality Dan's Tacos.

Daniel was a strong, hardworking man who lived life to the fullest, his way, and with no regrets. His passion and gift was making music, from singing, to playing the trumpet and drums. Daniel's biggest blessing in life was his daughter Sophia Justine Arias (17).

Daniel spent his last days surrounded with nothing but love, laughter, and memories with family and friends.

Daniel leaves behind his beloved Daughter Sophia Arias, Mother Sylvia Arias, Sisters Amanda Allen (Hays), Becky Quintero (Josh), Brother Justin Arias (Robin), Godparents, nieces, nephews, many cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, Ralph Arias.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 12th from 2pm-7pm at the Elks Lodge, 1616 30th St.

My heart goes out to the entire Arias family, especially to my beautiful granddaughter Sofia. Sofia brought so much joy to Daniel and was a fun loving sometimes too fun loving man. He holds a special place in our hearts as a life gone too soon. And has been said he did live life to the fullest. I was working a night shift when the celebration occurred, I did drive by and started to stop but then I was fearful it would be too much to bear during work so continued on. He will be missed especially his sense of humor, cooking and love for his daughter.

I met Daniel many years ago and we became the best of friends. Along with Nels, the three of us did almost everything together. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all he met. He had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. I will miss my friend. Rest now my brother (Brass Brother). See you on the other side.
