DeeDee Ridlon Obituary

DEEDEE RIDLON (SUTHERLAND)

July 25, 1954 April 18, 2023

April 18, 2023, was the last time we shared our earthly existence with our Precious lil' 08er, DeeDee Ridlon.

Deidre was the first born of Doc and Shirley Sutherland, raising their family in Oildale. Deidre graduated from North High in '72.

Dee was the most creative and imaginative artist, who developed a life long passion for dollmaking. Her dolls won numerous grand prize awards at both the Mid-State and Kern County Fairs.

Dee had a thirst for knowledge, and a memory to retain it. So, she was our Go-To person for answers to any problem. Knowing if she didn't have the answer, she would research it until she did. If it was out there, she would find it.

As our life began together, Sylvia was a part of it from the start. With Dee claiming that they were twins separated at birth.

In late '99, Dee and I met, fell in love, bought our home, and married in Las Vegas, (Sylvia house sat and took care of Sweet Pea).

Dee loved her cats, along with our swimming pool, which Dee and Sylvia devoted every summer to pooling for the past 23 years. While sharing their thoughts on life and how to live it well.

So, sorrow and joy causes us to remember our, Precious li' 08er.

We'll love you forever Dee, Tracy Ridlon and Sylvia Alejandro

DeeDee was such a beautiful soul. Had that smile ready whenever we got to see her. Wonderful memories Tracy, thank you. Our sincerest and deepest condolences to family and friends.
