Services: Thurs., Aug. 29, 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. for Dennis Clarke Fimple, 61. Rev. Scott Pearson, pastor of First Baptist Church will officiate at the services and burial will follow in the West Side District Cemetery.
Dennis was born in Ventura on November 11, 1940, and passed away at his Frazier Park home on Friday, August 23, 2002 due to complications from a car accident. Dennis was a graduate of Taft Union High School and also a graduate of San Jose State University where he obtained a teaching credential. He was a drama major. Dennis had a colorful career as a character actor in both motion pictures and television. He had many wonderful stories of the places he had been and people he had met in the film industry. He was an avid reader but his true love was antiques and collectibles, which he called treasures.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolly and Elmer Fimple and his brother, Marvin Fimple. Dennis is survived by his loving and always faithful son, Chris Fimple of Frazier Park; and his sisters, Sharon Driskill of Taft and Karen Zimpher of Sebastopol. He also had many other loving relatives and many friends. We will greatly miss Dennis and cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to service time at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
