Derrel Goad Obituary
Andy was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and moved to Bakersfield in 1952 after serving in the U.S. Army.
Andy worked as a Wayne's Dairy milkman for over 20 years, until they closed in the 1970's. From there he worked at Mission Linen, retiring in 1988 for two weeks. Back from retirement, he went to work in the auto industry until officially retiring from Fast Undercar in 2013 at the age of 86. He also worked as an official at The Bakersfield Speedway for 40 years, thru the 2002 season.
Preceding Andy in death were his wife, Polly Herndon Goad and his brother James Grady Goad. Andy is survived by his children; Kenneth Goad (Debbie), Cynthia Goad, Kelly Goad, Susan Madrid (Bob). Grandchildren; Shelby Goad and Ashlee Hanson (Jeremy).
Services will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery for both Andy and his wife Polly on March 16, 2016, at 10:45 am.
