MARK ALLEN SAN DIEGO SR.

October 17, 1956 – January 11, 2025

Bakersfield – Born October 17, 1956, to Eddie and Faye San Diego in Guadalupe, California, Mark Allen San Diego lived a life of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he passed away suddenly on January 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, laughter, and service. A warrior for Christ, Mark loved sharing his faith with everyone he met.

The youngest of eight children, Mark grew up in Guadalupe, California, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep love for agriculture. He attended Ernest Righetti High School, excelling in football and FFA before continuing his education at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. His passion for the outdoors, especially fishing, became a lifelong joy he shared with his children and grandchildren.

Mark thrived in construction management, earning the respect of colleagues through his leadership and mentorship. He was also a dedicated volunteer, mentoring youth through 4-H and FFA and using his incredible cooking skills to bring people together. But above all, he loved sharing God's word and being a light to those around him.

In 2007, Mark married Deanna, the love of his life. Their marriage was a testament to faith, friendship, and devotion. His greatest joy was his family, and his warmth, humor, and kindness made everyone feel loved.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna San Diego; his children, Heather Boggess (Michael), Mark San Diego Jr. (Makenzie), Alyssa Langston (Jared), Troy San Diego, Linsey Brown (Dan), and Chace Walker; and his cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Ed San Diego, Mario San Diego, Dollie Peralta, Debbie Elias, and Cecilia Nunez.

Services will be held on February 10, 2025 at 2:00pm at Valley Baptist Church located at 4800 Fruitvale Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93308.
