Don Rinaldi Obituary

Don William Rinaldi Dec. 13, 1909 Feb. 2, 2006 Don William Rinaldi passed away February 2, 2006, at the age of 96, in Carmichael, California. Born December 13, 1909, in Los Angeles, CA. Don is survived by four children: Donna Smith of Marysville, WA, Nancy Fiorini of Orangevale, CA, Linda Berry of Morro Bay, CA, James Rinaldi of Elk Grove, CA; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by Betty, his wife of 68 years. Don began working as a radio engineer in 1940 for KMJ Radio Station in Fresno, CA. In 1945 Don moved to Delano, CA to work for The Unites States Information Agency at the Voice of America Relay Station where he worked for 35 years until his retirement in 1980. Don and his wife, Betty, moved to Orangevale, CA, in 1995. Don was a passionate amateur radio operator (W6BVM) receiving his license at the age of 14. Family may be contacted at: P.O. He was a great man, he was my grandfather, i would spend my summer with him:)he spoke 3 languages, Spanish, Italian & English, he had a great sense of humor, he made life fun, he was a giver,he had passion for his family, Olives, music,plays, he would go out of his way to help you, i love you Poppa Rinaldi, rest in peace love your granddaughter Melodie Bales
