Donald Hall Obituary
1931 – 2025
Donald Armando Hall was born June 19, 1931 in Long Beach to Donald J. Hall and Marguerita Medina Hall and passed away peacefully with family near his side on October 17, 2025 in Bakersfield. He came to Bakersfield in 1941 and graduated in 1950 from East High School. He started working in 1950 for his future father-in-law's jewelry store, Wickershams, where he remained for 17 years. Don opened Don Hall Jewelers in the Valley Plaza and then moved to Stockdale Highway in the American National Bank Building. Years later he moved to the corner of Coffee Road and Truxtun by Frugattis. Don later sold the store to his son Jon, who moved the store to the Stockdale Tower. Don then continued to help Nancy, his wife of 70 years, with Nancy Halls Fond Memories.
Don was active in the Junior Chamber, Active 20-30 Club, South Rotary and East Lions. He loved NASCAR and playing tennis.
Donald is survived by his son Jon Hall (Hedy), daughter Kathleen Marion Hall Smith (Brad), grandson Sean Hennessy, (Alyssa), and nephew Dr. Van Halbach, great grandchildren Cian, Eoin, and Libby Hennessy. He was predeceased by wife Nancy Katharine Wickersham Hall (2018), daughter Victoria Ann Hall Fiore (2013), sister Sonja Hall Halbach Leitner (2018), and parents.
There will be a Rosary at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, on 900 H. Street, Bakersfield, California. A private Internment to follow at the Historic Union Cemetery in the Wickersham Family Plot.

I sorry to hear of Mr. Don Hall's Passing. I played tennis with his son Jon Hall at Laurel Glenn Tennis Club, and I know the Halls were a very close-knit, family with many respected friends in Bakersfield.

Don was such a sweet man. I met him through my dad Jack Waterfield as they graduated from EBHS in 1950. Don was so nice to attend my dad´s funeral in 2013. Rest in peace Don, I have such fond memories of you
