DYLAN JAMES LAKIN

November 3, 1991 June 14, 2021

Dylan James Lakin was born to James A. Lakin and Alexandra C. Bejarano in Bakersfield, CA. on November 3, 1991 and passed away June 14, 2021. He graduated from Bakersfield Adult School in 2009. He was an enormously gregarious guy from childhood through his adulthood, managing to share all of himself through laughter and love. Dylan passed nothing less than a huge smile to everyone he met throughout his short, but memorable life. His personality and outgoing spirit was "larger than life".

Dylan was greeted into heaven and his eternal hereafter by his grandpa, Joe and father James. For all who knew Dylan they know his grandpa Joe did his best to raise Dylan to become a man of integrity. Dylan most definitely did all he could to make his grandpa proud, through all his struggles in this tough world. He was, simply put, a lost soul, trying with all his might to make it happen in work and play. For those of us who knew him, his laughter still rings in our ears, and his smile is forever imprinted in our memories.

He is survived by his mother, Alexandra and husband Johnny Barnes, grandmother Irene Bejarano, uncle Joseph P. Bejarano and wife Christine, his step-grandmother Molly Wyatt Bejarano, his dearest uncle yet brother forever, Phoenix Bejarano and wife Andrea, niece Cassiopeia, sister Michelle, and uncle and aunt Mike and Anita Mitchell.

Services are scheduled for 9 am Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd.
