Ella Mae Miller August 11, 1927 - April 14, 2013 Ella Mae Miller, 85, passed away peacefully in her home on April 14, 2013, in Morro Bay, CA. She was born on August 11, 1927, in Paola, Kansas, to Martha Mae and Ray Toman. Ella Mae (Dang) spent the majority of her life in Bakersfield but moved to Morro Bay a few years ago to be closer to family. She worked for Brocks in Bakersfield in the Cosmetic Dept. for 14 years and made many friends. She was an animal lover, always owning a pet, the majority of them dogs. Ella Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Joseph Miller. Both Ella Mae and Jimmy were members of Christ the King Parish for many years. They enjoyed fishing and attending Dodger games together. She is survived by her only child, Anna Mae Briscoe of Morro Bay and her husband, Randy; grandchildren, Jeremy (Carrie) Briscoe of Atascadero and Summer (Tyson) Ellis of Santa Barbara; five great-grandchildren, Dean, Reeve, and Pearl Briscoe, and Cash and Colt Ellis; nieces, Dawnie Miller, Laura Carbone of Bakersfield and Vicki Fuesz, and Patti Ham of Haxtum, CO. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Stiner of Haxtun, CO. She will be forever missed but never forgotten. Everyone who knew her holds a memory of her spunky personality. She loved a gathering and never wanted the party to end; but now she has a new beginning, and we will be with her again someday. She loved her family and gave to them all such wonderful memories. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1800 Bedford Way. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
