Gary Alvis Obituary

Gary Lee Alvis Jr.

Apr. 28, 1972 Nov. 18, 2004

His last breath on earth

was his first breath in Heaven.

Gary passed away late Thursday evening on November 18, 2004. He fought hard to succeed in life, and had the unwavering love and support of his sister, parents and grandparents.

Gary was born and raised in Bakersfield. He attended Edison and Orangewood Elementary, Rosedale Jr. High, Foothill High School, and a pre-vet program at Cal State of Bakersfield. He worked in the petroleum industry installing insulation. He truly enjoyed fishing with his dad and woodwork, especially with his grandfather.

There are so many people the family would like to thank for assisting Gary in his travel through life. A very special thank you is expressed to Garys sister and grandparents who were there for him during his difficult times.

Gary is preceded in death by grandmother, Betty Alvis and brother, Eric Moreau. He is survived by his father, Gary Lee Alvis Sr. and wife, Kandy; mother, Chris Ritchie and husband, Rocky; sisters, Apryl Manning, Kristin Lostetter, Jenny Andreotti, Wendy Stovahl, Karri Ritchie; brothers, Jeff Joslin, Brandon Alvis and Ryan Moreau; grandparents, Ronald Scroggins and wife, Eva, Jack Alvis and wife, Pat, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gary was loved by us all

and will be missed by so many.
