George Richaud Obituary

GEORGE LUCIEN RICHAUD

December 11, 1932 November 30, 2022

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on December 15, 2022, at 10:00 AM for George Lucien Richaud at Christ the King Church. Rev. Msgr. Stephen A. Frost will be the celebrant.

George was the youngest of nine children born in Bakersfield, California to Simon and Lucienne Richaud. He was raised on a ranch where South High School is today. George attended St. Francis Grammar school and graduated from Garces High School in 1950. Upon graduation he was drafted into the Army and served two years in Korea. Returning home, he began working for AT&T and retired after 40 years.

At a Garces reunion, George became reacquainted with Donna Bianco; they married and were together 41 years. George had many long-time friends who met monthly for the poker group. George loved traveling in his RV and enjoyed many cruises.

George was quiet and had a gentle and unassuming demeanor. His sense of humor and good nature made him loved by everyone he met.

George is survived by his wife, Donna, son George, daughter, Denice, step-son David Wood and wife, Janie, grandson, David Richaud and wife, Robin, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Thank you to the Palms, Memory Care, Hoffmann Hospice and Msgr. Stephen Frost for being there and supporting George.

Donna & Family
We were so sorry to read of George''s passing. John and I both worked with George for many years and considered him a friend. We had many laughs together And those trips to Vegas on the bus. Oh so many memories. May those memories soothe your heart at this time. God Bless You.
