Glendale O'Brien Obituary

Glendale "Tex" O'Brien Jr. was born in Paola Kansas and passed away and on February 17th in his new home located in Grover Beach. He was so very happy finally to move to be close to his parents. He grew up in Bakersfield where he worked as an electrician and a contractor.
He is preceded in death by the mother of his children Elizabeth and oldest son Christopher. He is survived by his son Craig O'Brien, wife Niki and their 3 children, Britain, Cole, and Berkli. Parents, Glendale Sr. and Rosie O'Brien, Sisters, Judith Edwards and her 3 sons, Susie Small, husband Kenneth and their 3 children, Brenda "Kate" Eucce, husband Steve and their 5 children. He was Papa to Alexis Bishop.
Glen "Tex" was a man with a heart as big as Texas. He loved fishing, hunting, and family and had many stories to tell of those adventures. He enjoyed life in general. Tex had many friends, as he never met a stranger.
An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was proud to have served his country as a helicopter pilot and received 2 Bronze Stars among many other honors. He was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation, Moose Lodge and the NRA.
A service will be held on Friday March 6th, at 10:45 AM at the Bakersfield National Cemetery located at: 30338 East Bear Mountain Rd., Arvin, CA.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Wounded Heroes Fund Kern County, 3121 Standard St., Bakersfield, CA 93308
