Gloria Silva Obituary

Gloria Sisneros Silva, was born on January 2, 1938, in Bakersfield, CA. She later met and married the love of her life, Robert. Gloria passed peacefully surrounded by family, on March 20, 2022.
Gloria was employed at Mercy Hospital for 30 years where she retired at age 72. The many people that did know Gloria, knew she loved and lived life, for her two sons that she deeply treasured, Robert Mijo and Chris Dee Do Dee, whom she'd do a little dance and song for. Gloria touched many hearts in her life and will be greatly missed by all.
We love you Gloria and while we on earth are crying, we know several of our loved ones that have gone before us are smiling.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Silva, parents Ignacio Nacho and Carmen Sisneros, brother James Sisneros and sister Rosemary Sisneros Reyes.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister Cynthia "CynD" Rodriguez, her son Robert and his wife Esmeralda, daughter Regina, and her youngest son and number one caretaker Christopher "Moosie" Silva. She also leaves behind a very special niece Andrea "La Reina" Najera, husband Jeremy and children Lucinda and Noah, nephew Jason Hernandez and his wife Laura, all of whom took great care of her. In addition to those left behind are many more nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Until we meet again.
Visitation for Gloria will be held at Rubio's Funeral Home, 1100 Chester Ave, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00pm, with the Rosary recited at 6:00pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Church, 1800 Bedford Way on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E. Bear Mountain Rd, Arvin, CA at 12:00pm, with a pot luck reception to follow at the Eagles, 1718 17th Street.

I met Gloria through my brother´s marriage to Cynd. But became friends during our employment with Mercy Hospital. I will always remember Gloria with fondness in my thoughts and prayers. May she always R.I.P. My condolences to the family during this time of sorrow. All my love ... Jayna
