Iris Williams Obituary

Iris Elaine Williams 1932 - 2010 Iris Elaine Williams passed away at the age of 77 on December 11, 2010. Iris was born in Visalia, CA in 1932. She grew up in Tulare County, graduating from Orosi High School in 1950 before moving to Kern County. Iris worked for The Kern County Dept. of Human Services as an Eligibility Worker for over 25 years. She is preceded in death by parents, Garrett and Irene Waide; son, David; daughter, Barbara; and sister, Ireta Watkins. She is survived by daughters, Roxana Boroujerdi of Seattle; Cheryl Harris and husband Willie of Bakersfield, and Kathleen Williams of Pasadena; sister, Janet Mendoza of Bakersfield; brother, Charles Waide and wife Karen of Bakersfield. She also leaves behind her four grandsons, Eric Kirsch, Jeff Kirsch, Jason Harris and wife Jennifer, Jared Harris; and great granddaughter, Domino. Iris was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. While we know she is gone from this world, she will live on in our hearts forever. A graveside service is being held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd, on Friday, December 17, and 10:00 a.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits
