I'd Rather Have Jesus mare than silver or gold...Than to be...I can yet hear her sing this testimony and it puts a smile on my face. I will always remember her wisdom, her grace and her love for people. I am so blessed to have known Sis. Martin. Now, receive your just reward.

I fondly remember Sister Martin as a very nice, very sharp dressing, and very classy lady. She loved wearing her hats (even if she would shout them off, from time to time). Sister Martin, her sister, Mrs. Edwards, were always very nice to me and always had encouraging words for me. She came to my first sermon at The Peoples Missionary Baptist Church and smiled at me as I preached my first sermon.
Rest in Christ Sister Martin and I'll see you in the moring.

"The Lord shall guide thee continually..."Isaiah 58:11. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. Mrs. Martin will be missed by all. May God bless you.

I will always rememeber your Moms beautiful voice and how she/Mr. Martin and you children Lewis Jr., Debra, Lanette shared your Mom and Dad with everyone, and all the children in the community & the church. All I can say is that I am saddened and know how you must feel. Love you Salina Higgins (Nena) and children.
