Jack Hood Obituary
May 4, 1923 - July 20, 2022
Jack was born in Long Beach, California and came to Bakersfield at 3 years old. His goal was to make 100 years and almost made it. However, he did celebrate his 99th with many friends in his backyard this past May.
Jack is survived by his wife Sharon of 73 years and daughter Holly. He was predeceased by his son Richard.
He took his final breath surrounded by all of his grandchildren; Janice, RB, Kristin, Kelly and Conner.
A celebration of life will be held at the Bakersfield Elks Club Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

My Dad and Mom, Bill and Pinky Holbrook, are in heaven waiting to greet Jack. They always talked so nicely about him.

Jack welcomed me into his family, and treated me well. I have great memories of him and Sharon coming to our home, and enjoying all the food and conversation. Jack had countless memories, and I loved to listen to his stories. My boys loved spending time with their Great Grandpa, and I know they will always remember him. Rest well Jack, put in a good word for me, and leave the gate unlocked if you can! :)
