Jamie Michelle Haddock (Albitre) September 11, 1977 to December 3, 2013 Jamie was called home by the Lord on December 3rd, surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Robert and Donna (Carpenter) Albitre in 1977 and raised in Bakersfield, attending local schools and graduating from West High School in 1995. She continued her education and graduated with a degree in nursing from Bakersfield College in 2001. Her decision to become a registered nurse came as a surprise to no one, as her heart was made of gold. She would give a stranger the shirt off her back because God blessed her with the gifts of empathy and compassion. Jamie enjoyed being outdoors, listening to music, and rescuing animals, but nothing put a bigger smile on her face than being with her children; she loved them more than anything. Jamie was a leader in our family. She was the peacemaker, our confidant, and our friend. And while we will miss her here, we know that we will be reunited. "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:11 (NASB) Jamie joins in heaven her grandfathers, Bautista "Boy" Albitre and Don Strong, along with many other relatives. She is survived by her grandmothers, Nellie Albitre and Leota "Lea" Gonzales; her father and step-mother, Robert and Debbie Albitre; her mother and step-father, Donna and Chris Carpenter; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Tami Albitre; sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Tyler Cannon; the loves of her life, her children, Alexandria "Lexi," Lanie, and Luke; nieces, Kylee, Madi, and Bobbi; nephews, Mason, Jake, Reece, and Shaun; and many other relatives. A celebration of Jamie's life will be held Saturday, December 14th, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. A reception will immediately follow at Kern Law Enforcement Association banquet hall at 3417 Pegasus Dr. www.bakersfield.com/obits

I was thinking about her months ago, and God told me to search her out and I was "very sad to see that she passes away few years ago." Jamie and I worked together in our first nursing jobs at Mercy Hospital!" Then she and I went on to continue travel nursing in Thousand Oaks! I will always love Jamie she was a beautiful soul.. Now Jaime you are home with the Lord and "Happy!"

I just came across your obituary on West High's FB page. I'm so sad because I tried to get in touch with you over the years but didn't have any luck. You were my best friend many years back and I have missed your contagious laugh. I guess I can say I finally got in touch with you. I will always remember laying on your giant trampoline in the backyard while making wishes at the falling stars. Rest in peace dear friend!

Although much time has gone by, our memories are alive like the present. I am taken back from a sea of all the memories we shared. From the first time we met at Little Caears, working always on the weekends we looked forward to getting off work to hang out and listen to reggae music. I remember when you were studying to be a nurse, I had to take the back seat sometimes in your green CRX because you had the cardboard cut out person with the labeled body parts in the passenger seat. Even though we never produced our collaborated book of our dreams, you made your dreams come true.
You had an undeniable determination as well as a golden heart. Your children are fortunate to have had guidance and love from a truely remarkable person. She practiced what she preached in her compassion, kindness, and drive. My blessings of peace for your children and your family.

I met Jamie while she did her clinicals while in nursing school. She was very sweet, soft spoken and I cant quite remember how we met but i do remember how pretty she was. When I saw her picture in the obituary I remembered her very clearly. Im heartbroken to hear of her passing. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Rest in peace Jamie! It has been some time since I have seen you but the memories seem like yesterday. Never forget the grape fight we got into and all the nights you babysit us and and we would order pizza to the house and when they got there we would say we did order a pizza (hopeing they would just let us have it and sometimes they did.) You were always a sweet girl! You will definetly be missed. My deepest prayers go out to her family!
