I had to go look at my resume to see what year I worked with Jeanie. It was 2009. I was hired to be a PRN case manger for weekends. I just wanted a PRN job. I was blown away away by the increased responsibility the case mgr role had evolved into. I almost resigned. But thanks to Jeanie´s training and faith in me, I stuck it out. She had so much grace for my learning curve. I remember during my training, she asked me to cover her unit "all by myself" so she could take the day off for medical appointments. Bless her heart, on that day off, she fell and broke her ribs and could not return to work for a while. I had to jump in and cover her unit for a month. I crash course learn my job, with her training, and the many phone calls I made to all the other team to get me through the trial. I´ll never forget I earned the badge of honor when Jeanie said to me " Martie, you were a good hire" " Jeanie approved". I always treasured her in my heart for being so good to me. Jeanie you deserve a wonderful life in heaven, may you rest in peace. My condolences to her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeanie as a Case Manager at San Joaquin hospital in Bakersfield, CA for many years. She was a great mentor and friend and one of the smartest and most capable women I've ever known. She loved her 3 sons, her grandchildren, brother, friends and was a great advocate for her patients. My deepest sympathies to her family. Rest well, dear friend. You are with your Savior, Jesus and enjoying eternity. But you will be remembered and missed.

I am saddened to hear of Jeanie´s passing. She was not only a dedicated nurse, but a strong patient advocate and an incredibly intelligent, compassionate woman. I had the privilege of working with her through the patients she referred for rehabilitation, and her commitment to their well-being never went unnoticed.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the impact she made and the lives she touched.
With deepest sympathy,

Sending my love and prayers to the Rucks family ...
I credit my successful career as a case manager to the guidance and mentorship of Mrs. Rucks. It was through her encouragement and support that I made the transformative decision to transition from floor nursing to case management. God planted the seed of this idea in my mind to inquire about Case Management. I´ll never forget when she approached me and asked if I had ever thought about becoming a Case Manager. Mrs. Rucks was an instrument of God in opening the door for me to pursue this new path. Alongside other case managers, I am deeply thankful and privileged to have had the opportunity to learn from her. Mrs. Rucks was a remarkable individual - fierce, intelligent, and a committed advocate for the rights of her patients. Her legacy lives on in all of us who had the honor of knowing and working with her. Rest well, my friend. Love Always Lavuna RN-CM
