Juan M. Niera Jr. was born on May 6, 1963 and passed away from Covid on August 16, 2021 in Bakersfield, CA.
He was preceded in death by his sister Sandra, uncle Val, cousin Natividad, and nephews Norbert and Nick.
He is survived by his father Manuel, mother Mary, sister Jenny (Martin), brother Delfino (Nancy), children Juan, Ponciano, Serena, Emma, and numerous family and friends.
Visitiation will be held on September 1st, from 6:00pm 8:00pm, at Basham Funeral Care, 3312 Niles St. Funeral service will be September 2nd, at 10:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1515 Baker St. Graveside service will follow at Historic Union Cemetery, 730 Potomac Ave.

Junior is what we called him. My mom is his aunt from AZ. She still visits Juniors mom a few times a year. My mom feels the void of him not being there and really misses him. I wished we would of stayed in touched. He was funny and a wonderful person. Growing up we used to visit every summer(hence the az cousins). I wish his daughter and family the best wishes.
