Kelvin Lee Morse

1957 - 2006

Kelvin Lee Morse was suddenly taken home on March 27, 2006, following an automobile accident. He was born on November 12, 1957 in Boron, California to Dottie and Viven Morse. He lived in Kern County most of his life, attending Wilson Elementary, Golden State Jr. High and then South High schools. Kelvin liked the simple things in life, preferring to spend the day outside. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operating Engineers Union. He enjoyed fishing, boating and waterskiing. Those who knew and loved Kelvin most know that his life was an assiduous struggle, and although we will miss him, he has finally found the peace with Jesus that he could not find while living his life here on Earth. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Smith of San Jose; daughter, Kimberly Bowlds of San Diego; daughter, Angela Cortes of San Jose; and son, Nathan Morse of Bakersfield; two grandchildren, Madison and Ethan of San Jose. He also left behind two brothers, James and Eugene Morse; and sister, Dorita Mosley; as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Morse was preceded in death by his mother, Dottie Davis; sister, Linda Morse; and brother, Jimmy Hill. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 3 l, at Mish Funeral Home.
