Grandpa is the greatest Grandpa I ever knew. He loved me and my brothers very much. He was cool and awesome. He did whatever he can for his grand kids. He always gave us money when we wanted to go to the store. Grandpa gave us the best Christmas we would ever have. We always watched football games with him and cheered on the 49ers. He took us metal detecting at the park even if he knew we weren't going to find anything. He gave me the best hugs any Grandpa could give. And he always gave me candy. We will miss you Grandpa and love you with all our hearts RIP Grandpa love Tyler Austin and Chasity

Uncle Larry I remember as a kid being excited to come over cuz after a long day you would hand out money to us kids and we would go spend it all at the corner store. I also remember you being the one to give me hard time and also being a jokester. You always lightened the mood with your sense of humor. I will truly miss you and you will always be in my thoughts. I'll do my best to comfort your girls in every way that I can. R.I.P Uncle Larry I love you!

What can I say about one of the most amazing men I ever knew. My Uncle Larry had the most giving heart of anyone I know there was nothing he wouldn't do for someone he loved. My life was truly blessed by him and I am thankful for the lessons in life he taught me on the way. Like playing the lotto you cant win if you don't play sis that's what he would always say. He will b forever missed in our lives.

I met Larry at a service garage in Downtown Bakersfield while both our oil field trucks were being repaired. While waiting in the lounge, a cuasual conversation turned into a delightful meeting and discussion about Joe Montana, Jerry Rice,Dwight Hicks and the 49ers. He introduced me to the 49ers weekly newsletter. In which I later subscribed too. For someone I didn't know that well, we enjoyed each others company for over two hours, waiting for our trucks to be repaired. The year was 1988, in which the 49ers would later win our third straight NFC Western Division. We happened to meet several times after that and would have lunch at Lorenes Coffee Shop on 24th St.,(Now the 24th St. Cafe). I met one of his daughters one time breifly while dining at Lorenes. Larry had invited me serveral times to his home to meet with his family, but it seems that I would be called out to work to service a well, pumper or a steamer. Anyway, my condolence to his family, and remember, 49er faithfuls never die.........they just go to heaven.
