Lester Bigger Obituary

Lester F. Pop Bigger

6/26/1931 5/23/2004

Lester Franklin Bigger was born on June 26, 1931 in Coachella, California to Richard and Sally Bigger and passed away on May 23, 2004 in Tehachapi. Lester was a truck driver for 45 years and retired from Griffith Company after 38 years of service. Pop was a family oriented man, he loved being with his family above anything else. He and his wife, Alice loved camping and fishing with their family, Pop loved to fish and clean them but drew the line when it came to eating them. He enjoyed gardening and doing wood crafts and working jigsaw puzzles. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and would not abide gossip in his presence.

Lester is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Louise Bershears and Lucille Seeger and brother, Leon Bigger. Survivors are his loving wife of 53 years, Alice; his daughters, Stacy Damron and husband, Rick, Janice Valencia and husband, Rick; grandchidlren, Derek and Tina Valencia, Ryan and Cindy Valencia, Monica Powell, Leslie and Greg Smith, Carie and John King, Amanda Valencia and Franklin Damron; great-grandchildren, Danae, Chelsie, McKenna, Bailey, Autumn, Kylie, Drew, Alyssa, Shelbie and Alyson.

May he find his daughter, Marilyn waiting for him and he will finally be at peace.

Chapel services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary. Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m.
