Lorraine Gomez Obituary

LORRAINE CAMPOS GOMEZ

December 23, 1957 - January 18, 2022

Lorraine Campos Gomez was a warm, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to those who were fortunate to be part of her life. She was surrounded by the unconditional love of her family as she passed away in Bakersfield, CA on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 at the age of 64.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard S. Gomez, mother Jessie Campos Gomez, sister Debra Gomez Reynoso, and granddaughter Aubrey Galindo. She is survived by the greatest accomplishments of her life, her five children: Frank Anthony Aguilera (wife, Vanessa Aguilera), Daniel Gomez Aguilera (wife, Mayra Aguilera), Aaron Timothy Aguilera (wife, Jazmine Aguilera), Melinda Christine Robles (husband, Joel Robles), and Jessica Ariane Galindo (husband, Joseph Galindo). She is also survived by her 14 beautiful grandchildren, Genavieve Aguilera, Gabrialla Aguilera, Natalie Aguilera, Noah Salas, Krista Aguilera, Erica Salas, Richard Frankie Aguilera, Adalynn Salas, Daniel Aguilera, Jaeda Aguilera, Joshua Galindo, Joey Galindo, Joel Robles Jr. and Aria Aguilera. Her brother Richard Gomez, sister Loretta Valles, and many nieces and nephews, all whom she loved dearly for the entirety of her life.

Lorraine was born on December 23rd, 1957 in Ontario, CA and moved to Bakersfield during her adolescent years. Prior to graduating high school, she moved with her family to Salinas where she later started her own family and gave birth to her three sons. She settled back in Bakersfield to be near her parents and sisters where she completed her family by giving birth to her two daughters.

Lorraine had a passion for helping others, and since the 1990's, she was selflessly devoted to her career providing support in the community for developmentally disabled children and adults. She established life-long friendships with many colleagues throughout her career.

Lorraine will always be remembered for her strong ambitions and being a hard worker. When she was not busy working, she spent the rest of her time creating memories with her beloved family and friends, picking up her daily piping-hot Starbucks drinks, enjoying her favorite meals like Mexican food with margaritas, driving around town in her shiny black BMW, and cheering for the 49ers during football season with her family.

Lorraine's beautiful soul, funny wit, deep love for others, and bright sparkle will forever be missed by those who loved her. Her beloved family and friends take comfort in knowing she is finally resting and forever at peace.
