MARLIN BRAD MOORE

January 8, 1964 – July 16, 2025

It is with sadness in our hearts as we grieve the loss of our brother. Brad passed away in Lincoln City, Oregon on July 16th, 2025 from health complications. Brad was born in Delano, CA to Johnny and Helen (Powell) Moore, the second of their two children. The family moved to Bakersfield when Brad was 18 months old. Brad attended local Bakersfield schools Stine Elementary, Curran Jr High and Highland High School.

Brad was married to Shawn Emerson in 1991. He apprenticed under his father-in-law, becoming a skilled tradesman in flooring and carpet installation. In 1992 his son Nick was born, and in 1999 Brad was a blessed with a daughter. The joy of his life were his two beautiful children.

Brad loved music, especially heavy metal, and sang in rock bands throughout his life, even going on tour. During his travels, he enjoyed the small harbor community of Newport, Oregon and moved there permanently in 2018.

Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents and our youngest brother, Billy Moore. He leaves behind his son Nicholas Marlin Moore, his daughter Genesis Nicole Duncan, the mothers of his children, Shawn and Krista, former step-mom Jeannie, our dad's widow Wendy, and siblings Jlynn, Tangi, Justin, Brandy, Brenna, and Johnny. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him. A Memorial Service will be held on August 30th at 11:00 in Pixley, CA.
