Monte Domingos Obituary
August 28, 1962 – October 19, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Monte Domingos on Sunday morning, October 19th, in Bakersfield. Monte can now raise his beautiful voice in Heaven's choir.
Monte is survived by his father, John "Blackie" Domingos and mother, Susan Bridges Lyons, his sister Kimberly Starr Edmundson, along with his two amazing sons, Joshua and Justin and 9 beautiful and talented grandchidren, Leni, Lexi, Derek, Naomi, Maddie, Olivia, Benji, Rhaema, and Michael. He was preceded in death by his son, Jordan Michael Domingos who went into the arms of Jesus on July 17, 2023.
Athough he had struggles in this life, Monte never abandoned his faith. He was bold and courageous in his sharing of the truth of Jesus and responsible for many of his family coming to Christ or coming back to Christ. He never gave up talking about Jesus.
To celebrate his life, family and friends will gather over the Holidays to share their memories and stories in remembrance of Monte's storied struggles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Jordan Project reflecting the needs of the homeless and the lost in California.
Monte Scott Domingos will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

I'm his girlfriend I loved him very much and I'm very sad he is gone he is the best and most loving person I've ever met in my life and he was funny and kind and honest person I ever met I miss him everyday and I love him very much.... sincerely with love Sarah r neidigh his girlfriend for a yr and a half but we been friends for about 6 or 7 yrs he always made everything better he made all the bad days seem brighter and all he ever wanted was someone to love him and Im glad I got to be that person for him

Going to miss you Dad.. All your jokes and your laugh. The way you told stories so passionately. Thank you for ALWAYS giving Glory to God the Almighty and praising Jesus through the good and bad. Ill always remember eating seasoned popcorn, watching Blockbuster movies and talking about Ultimate Fighters... I love you Dad. Rest easy in the Loving embrace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. AMEN.
