I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Nicole first as a student at NHS where she was a leader among her peers and later as a colleague. She had a warm personality and wonderful sense of humor. She was sincere and full of compassion as a teacher, as well as a friend.

"Ms. C" was my teacher at NHS in 1998 for speech and debate. Although I was not thrilled about the class once I met her and we all fell in a rhythm and it quickly became my favorite part of of the day. We spent many Saturday's at high schools all over the county at competitions. I always thought how cool it was to have her for a teacher then and look back now and can think of so many ways she affected my life 18 years later. So sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers for her family.

Ms.Cerotsky I started North High in 2000 you are the first teacher to come up and asked if I needed help finding my class and I said yes and took them straight to my first. She was my AVID teacher for two years at North High. She taught me all of the organization and note taking skills that I still rely on to this day in order to do well in college! She always encouraged my quirks as a kid and complimented my style. Even when I would come to school dressed in a wig, looking like Lady GaGa, the kids would make fun of me, but Mrs. Cerotsky was always super supportive of me! She never judged me for being eccentric. She always made me feel good about myself. She also helped me actively volunteer in the community! Thank you for leaving an impact on my life. <3 Love you!!!

Thoughts and prayers to your family. Nicole was a wonderful teacher and will be greatly missed.
One time we were watching a video, and she paused it without looking. We started laughing because the video paused on a guy who was in the middle of talking; his eyes were partly closed and his mouth was closely rounded. She turned and looked at it and commented on the placement, and continued with her teaching.
My prayers are with you.

Being a teacher means you will have a major impact on the world for years to come. Nicole didn't have as much time, but that doesn't mean her impact will be any less great. Praying for all of those who love her.
