Norma Burgemaster Obituary

Norma B. Burgemaster

9/23/1920 5/15/2002

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Norma B. Burgemaster.

Norma was born in Bloomfield, Missouri and came to California as a little girl. She has resided in Kern County the remainder of her life. Norma was married to her late husband Emile Wink Burgemaster for 58 years at the time of his death. Norma was a homemaker all her life as well as a volunteer for Kern Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She also was a member of the Norris Road Church of Christ where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Norma was very outgoing and everyone teased her about being a little princess. She was always dressed to the max and you never caught her with a hair out of place.

Norma leaves behind her daughters, Ginger Carpenter, Linda and husband, Jerry Fiest; son, Billy and wife, Norma G. Burgemaster; stepson, Jack and wife, Jeannie Burgemaster. She also leaves sisters-in-law, Phyllis Burgemaster and Norma Lawrence; nieces, Nancy Mann, Paula Davis and Beverly Richardson; nephew, Jerry Meyers; numerous grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren.

We wish to give a special thanks to Doris Rodriguez and Kate Plume for the exceptional caregivers they were.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Optimal Hospice Foundation of Bakersfield.

Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
