Oralia Salazar Obituary

Oralia Salazar, 84, of Bakersfield, died peacefully in her sleep on May 26, 2009 at Rosewood Health Care Center. Born August 3, 1924 in San Angelo, Texas, she and husband Pascual moved to California in 1946 and settled in Bakersfield. Many of her friends will remember her by her nickname "Maggie." Oralia is survived by Pascual, husband of 64 years; daughter, Christina Berry; granddaughter, Teresa and husband Travis Spears; and great-grandson, Kane; brothers, Fred (Juanita), Ralph (Alice), Robert, Sam (Angela), and Frank (Lupe) Tinoco; sisters, Amelia Cerda and Juanita (Moy) Moreno. She was preceded in death by her sister, Isabel Salazar. The Rosary will be Sunday, May 31, at 6:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Church, at 900 "H" St., on Monday, June 1, at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery. Oralia Salazar 1924 - 2009
