PAUL JOSEPH WILLIAMS
June 28, 1967 – March 9, 2026
Paul Joseph Williams, 58, entered into eternal rest on March 9th, 2026 after a life marked by faith, kindness, and devotion to family and friends. Paul was born on June 28, 1967, in
Panorama City, California to Gary and Kathy Williams.
Paul spent the first three years of his life in Simi Valley, California before his family moved to Lancaster, California. There, his father served the community as an optometrist with Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. Paul attended grammar school in the Lancaster school system and later transferred to Paraclete High School, a Catholic high school. He went on to attend Antelope Valley Junior College before transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he graduated with a degree in Agricultural Business.
Throughout his life, Paul worked diligently and took pride in the many roles he held. He worked for 19 years with Kern Ridge Growers which specialized in carrot sales and also spent time working in his father's optometric office. In addition, Paul generously gave his time and talents working in a sober living environment home and with various bookkeeping facilities in
Bakersfield, California.
A man of deep faith and service, Paul was a Eucharistic minister and lector at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was known for his kindness, humility, and willingness to help others. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Paul had nothing but good things to say about him, and he left a lasting impression on all who met him.
Paul was also very active in 4-H during his youth, where he raised sheep and hogs and enjoyed horseback riding. Over time he became an accomplished horseman. Some of his happiest moments were spent riding on the family's mountain property, moving cattle, horseback riding on trips in the Sierras, and riding the trails along the Kern River in Bakersfield.
Paul maintained close and lasting friendships throughout his life, staying in contact with both his college friends and the many friends he made while growing up in Lancaster. His loyalty, warmth, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.
Paul is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Kathy Williams; his sister, Karen; his nephew, Jonathan; his niece, Amber; and his great-nieces, Darby, Rory, and Emmy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 4 at 11:00 a.m. at 5001 Fallgatter Street in
Bakersfield, California. A luncheon will follow at Benji's Restaurant, Paul's favorite place to gather with family and friends.
Paul's life was marked by faith, friendship, service, and love. He will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.
"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen."
