Rhonda Amendt Obituary
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Home chapel by Pastor John Brick and Pastor Richard Darden.
Rhonda graduated from Indian River High School in Frankford, Del., and went on to complete her bachelor of science degree in chemistry at Barton College in Wilson. She was employed with U.N.X. Inc. as a research chemist. Rhonda was a member of Textile Rental Services Association of America, where she served on many committees. She was queen of the Red Hats of Farmville.
Rhonda was a kind and generous person and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Scott N. Amendt; son, Grayson S. Amendt of the home; her father, Paul W. Cowan and wife, Barbara, and her mother, Connie Slacum and husband, Jim, all of Farmville; mother and father-in-law, Norman and Linda Amendt of Ocean View, Del.; sister-in-law, Christine Leisey and family; brother-in-law, Mark Amendt and family; and a host of special friends.
The family will be at the home on North Gate Walk in Farmville.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and care partners that helped Rhonda through this difficult time. A special thanks to Dr. Asch and to everyone at 3 West Oncology at Pitt County Memorial Hospital for their kindness and excellent care.

Scott, if there is anything you need, please let us know. After so many years of being neighbors, I had no idea she was battling this disease. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
