Richard Ray Eldridge, 58, was born March 22, 1967 to Edward Eldridge and Delight Fitch and passed away December 27, 2025 after a brief illness.
In his youth, Richard married briefly, having two children, Candace Grace and Richard Ray Jr.
Richard married the love of his life, Cynthia Charlene (Charlie) in 1996. In this marriage, he became Dad to her three children, Robert Lee (Bobby), Amber Dawn, and Delmos Alan. During their life together they had two more children, Michael Edward and Tanner Ray Nicolls.
Most of his working life was spent in various aspects of the petroleum industry. Later, Richard became a long-haul truck driver until his passing.
Richard was preceded in death by his son, Robert (Bobby) Birdwell and his step-dad, Curtis Fitch Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Charlie; mom Delight; dad Edward; second mom, Susan; four step-siblings; 6 children; 12 grandkids; several aunts & uncles; and many nieces, nephews, & cousins all of whom loved him very much and will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 12:30pm at the Coronado Baptist Church, 516 Norris Road, Bakersfield, CA 93308.
