January 23, 1986 – April 15, 2025
Bakersfield – With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ricky Hernandez, who left us much too soon on April 15, 2025 at the age of 39.
Left behind to cherish his memory forever is his beloved wife of 20 years Amaris and their precious daughter Hartley. His parents Richard andFidelia, his brother Matt and fiancé Lupe, in laws Papa Bear and Mama Jill, and a large extended family and wide circle of friends.
Everything Ricky did was for and with his family, he was a true family man, and he was happiest at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Ricky was a devoted "softball dad", making sure Hartley had everything she needed to succeed, and she made him proud everyday. Most times Ricky could be found hanging out in the "shop" for every holiday, every Dallas Cowboys game and every Dodgers game, he was definitely the life of the party where ever he was...IYKYK!!! The shop will never be the same without him.
Viewing & Rosary are Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Rosary at 6:00pm, Greenlawn Southwest on Panama Lane.
Mass & blessing are Friday, May 2, 2025, at 10:30am, St Francis Catholic Church, 900 "H" Street.
Forever and ever in our hearts, rest in eternal peace, we love you Ricky.

I love you Ricky, you were not my son in law, you were my son. I don´t know how we will go on without you in our lives, but I will spend the rest of my life missing you every single day. Thank you for my Hartley, I will make sure she continues to make you proud. I will take care of our Rissy, just as you did. Until we see each other again, which will not be soon enough..rest in peaceful heaven. Love you more, Mama Jill
