Richard Cleo Monson, 76, of Portland, Oregon (formerly of Bakersfield, California), passed away on November 3, 2025.
A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, Richard was known for his humor, charm, and big heart. He served during the Vietnam War, an experience that shaped his deep commitment to working hard and showing up for those he loved ? especially his son, Rocky Monson, daughter-in-law Amanda Roland, and grandson August Roland Monson. Whether fishing with Rocky or joking about their latest Nike finds, Richard's wit and magnetism made him unforgettable to everyone lucky enough to know him. He will be immensely missed.
