Robert Edgar Obituary
April 9, 1956 - October 9, 2024
Robert 'Bob' Neil Edgar Jr., a devoted husband, father, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2024, at 68, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, children Kristen (Alex), Michelle, and Steven, grandchildren Addison, Silas, Charlotte, Vincent, and Logan, sisters Leslie and Laura (Adam), Aunt Carolyn (David), and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 8, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Valley Baptist Church. For additional service information see bashamfuneralcare.com.

I worked with Bob back in our Mobil days. He was always kind and gracious. One of my favorite memories was how grateful and excited he was when I special ordered his SMWSS MOCO jacket. One of the only work jackets he ever wore, and he wore it for years.
He will be missed. My prayers are with you all. May he rest in peace.

I knew Bob for many years after he was hired by Aera - we worked together at Midway. Amazed at how this human mountain served for so long in the Air Force; maybe they needed somebody to occasionally pick up planes and position them?
Bob was a pleasure to be with. Upbeat, funny, and positive - a joy to have on any team. Didn't take the "easy" path through life: Eagle Scout, Div I athlete (ROLL TIDE), and dedicated USAF serviceman. Honored to know him.
