Robert Himes Obituary
February 23, 1928 – November 6, 2025
Robert dedicated his life to education and service, touching many lives as a teacher and proudly served in the Navy from 1951 to 1952.
He is survived by his son Jason Himes; Karen (David) Burse; and Mike (Connie) Burdick, along with five grandchildren: Jacque, Stephen, Kevin, Amy, and Christopher.
Robert was preceded in death by his wives Loraine Himes (m. 1962, d. 1982) and Katherine Burdick Himes (m. 1987, d. 2022).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hoffmann Hospice.

Bob and Kate were special to my husband, Gary and myself. They sat in front of us on Sunday morning with Kate and Gary lined up in their wheelchairs. They were always warm and friendly to us. After Kate and Gary passed away, Bob continued to be there for me on Sunday morning. He will be missed.

I have been visiting my mom, Diane Sandidge in Rosewood for the past 13 years and got to know Bob. He always greeted me with a smile and was always so cheerful and happy to see me and I felt the same about him. He was such a positive force. We are so sorry for your loss and will keep your
